The Node

The Node is an influencer marketing agency based in France, running campaigns worldwide with a focus on Twitch and YouTube, with some thirty exclusive gaming and streaming talents. With La Rampe, I took on the brand design alongside Raphaël Auriac and drew the icon set. The identity runs from the mark and its purple-and-yellow pair to the talent cards, the event badges and the website, built on Webflow.

Overview

Brand identity and iconography for The Node, an influencer marketing agency working with gaming and streaming talents. A mark, a purple and an acid yellow, talent cards, event badges and an icon set, designed with La Rampe.

Icon set

One of the big challenges was the icon set: it had to match, naturally, the rounded corners and the graphic strokes of Britti Sans, the typeface chosen for the display text. So the icons were drawn custom on that logic, and they also exist in a dot version.

The mark

One idea ran through the whole brief: connection. The Node stands between talents and brands, and the mark had to say so head-on, without a handshake or a chain link. We went through a great many routes and icon studies before it settled on two shapes joined by a sticky logic: they meet at several points, and each junction reads as the link the agency makes, a talent and a brand pulled toward a common goal. It was long work for a small object, and the most interesting part of the project. Those joins became the brand's grammar.

Colours

Two colours carry the rest: a citric yellow, deliberately loud, balanced by a purple pushed slightly toward blue. The pair holds on its own and takes gradients well, so the system moves between flat blocks and blends, and plays shape against counter-shape, the mark cut into a field or the field cut by the mark. To press the digital side, halftone screens come and go with the medium: dense on a stream overlay or a badge, absent from a page that only needs the type to breathe. That restraint is part of the system. It keeps the loud parts loud.
